Take the guesswork out of style with a timeless, repeatable “style system” you can use to look your best while you break glass ceilings, navigate male-dominated industries, and unapologetically change the world.
You’re the best of the best at what you do.
So what’s with the boring black suits and frumpy sweater sets? That doesn’t credit your genius or all you’ve had to do to get where you are today. Let’s fix the frump, quit blending in with the corporate furniture, and solve your style woes for good.

“I used to think being ‘appropriate’ was enough, but realized I was blending into the corporate furniture. After working with Melanie, I’m more confident dressing in ways that reflect my seniority and authority—no more hiding behind boring suits or being mistaken for the junior attorney.”
for almost every event
on outfits that never look quite right
as you change 5 times and hate the final look
Complete with “I have nothing to wear!” meltdowns
Hiding in oversized items that do nothing for your figure
Because hey, at least lulu is somewhat stylish
But never actually investing in solving your style issues
Like a fast fashion drive-through could ever do you justice

“When I first started out as a lawyer, I loved wearing suits. Then remote work made me lose sight of how I wanted to present myself. Melanie is so much more than a stylist—she’s a personal coach who gotten me back on track, and even my kids notice I’m happier in my clothes!”

-
Right now, people at work see you like a teenager, an intern, or an old maid. Your style does not say, “I’m the boss.” It says “I don’t think I’m important.” Style affects the way you’re perceived. Thinking otherwise is not just delusional, it’s damaging to your career.
When you don’t know how to dress yourself well, you buy so much stuff that doesn’t actually work for you. You’re not happy with it. You don’t wear it. And you continue to go to work looking like you’re still in grad school (or well into retirement) when you’re actually at the top of your game.
Ever heard of “enclothed cognition?” Scientific studies actually show that what you wear affects the quality of your work. When you dress with excellent style, you actually do better work.
We all want to believe that it’s what’s on the inside that counts but that’s not exactly true. How others perceive us influences how they treat us, what they pay us, and the opportunities we do or do not become privy to. Stop avoiding the truth. Your style is holding you back at work and in life.
We’ve all heard the phrase, “Dress for the job you want.” Well, guess what? It’s true. Your personal brand at work includes your style. It may not be the reason you get promoted but it could definitely be the reason you don’t.
“Melanie’s class revolutionized how I think about personal style and putting outfits together. She taught me everything from which colors look best on me to tailoring clothes I already owned —unpacking the emotional baggage behind ‘why’ I dress the way I do. Now I have a streamlined closet I’m excited to wear.”

I have a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Fashion Institute of Technology. My family has owned businesses in the fashion industry for generations, and I have been sourcing and selling jewelry, fragrances, and accessories since I could talk.
However, early on in my career, I quickly grew disillusioned with the fashion industry. It became obvious to me that the goal was to make women constantly feel less-than, incomplete, and unworthy.
The minute-by-minute trends, the judgy rail-thin model culture, the unrealistic fashion standards. The fast fashion with its unsustainable throw-away mindset. The red velvet ropes that only allowed certain women to get through.
So I sought out to create a way for intelligent, ambitious professional women to feel AMAZING and to look their best while they change the world, no matter their body shape, background, skin color, or professional industry.
Listen, I am 5’1, curvy, and short-waisted in my physique. So I’m no stranger to body image challenges. To add insult to injury, my mom only dressed me in Talbots dresses and Anne Taylor business casual clothing growing up.
So imagine the horror when I branched out on my own beyond the family business and started working with Barney’s Harrods, Neiman Marcus, and Saks, selling some of the world’s most expensive jewelry to primadonnas, international royalty, and celebrities you would know if I name-dropped.
On the inside, I was crushed. The bigger problem was that secretly, I didn’t know WHO I was. I didn’t know what I valued or what made me feel good in my own skin. I had just spent my whole life trying to look taller and thinner. Sound familiar?
So, I set off on a mission to dress from a place of confidence and authenticity. Of course, I wanted to be polished and chic but more importantly, I wanted to communicate a message about the woman I was becoming.
A few years later, I went on to become a personal stylist and began building businesses serving professional women who don’t want to chase trends or spend all day thinking about clothes. They just want to be taken seriously and feel their most confident, so they can do their important work in the world.
It requires a little psychology, a little style, and a little finesse - but don’t worry!
I’m serving up all three.

“The benefits of working with her have gone far beyond "just" clothes (but my wardrobe is 100% improved for sure!) Her gift is simplifying things for us overthinkers. She gives structure to things that seem overwhelming. She is patient and kind and responsive. And her programs have huge value. Professional women who aren't fabulously wealthy can now dress like they have a personal stylist - because we do!”
Sure, you can pay a stylist a couple thousand bucks to pick out a few outfits for you but then what?
You’re back to square one.
The Style Code teaches you how to dress for every occasion, and it grows with you throughout your lifetime. When you learn The Style Code, it’s like riding a bicycle. You’ve got the skill for life.

“Before Stand Out Style, I played it safe with black or navy suits—I thought that’s what I ‘had’ to wear as a lawyer. Melanie showed me how color and accessories could enhance my brand, not diminish it. My closet is now vibrant and aligned with who I am. I even save money by shopping with a clear purpose.”
“I wasn’t sure I’d ever find a program that helped me as a tall, plus-size, remote-working lawyer. But [this program] nailed it. No more rummaging for something that ‘kind of fits.’ I finally have a plan.”

Especially the woman who tends to overanalyze, lean toward perfectionism, and get all tangled up when it comes to her style.

I’m calling in the kind of woman who makes things happen. The woman who knows what she wants and who is bold enough to go after it. The one who not only has big dreams. She has big goals to back them up. The one who knows she only has one life to live, and she’s here to make the most of it.

I want the kind of woman who has enough self-awareness to know she’s been hiding *just a little bit* in her professional world. She knows she has so much more potential, and she knows her struggles with style are a key barrier to her success. She’s no longer willing to settle. She’s ready to show up with presence, purpose, and confidence.

“I sometimes struggled with what to wear to casual gatherings because my clothes felt too formal. After learning how to read color, pattern, and ‘vibe,’ I finally understand why certain outfits click. I’m more confident that my closet will work for me instead of overwhelming me.”
“I knew I liked color on others, but I assumed lawyers had to dress in neutrals only. Melanie showed me how to incorporate color without losing credibility. I’ve never felt more confident!”
No more wasted mornings or last-minute panic shopping.
Edit what you have and fill in the gaps
Embrace your shape, highlight your very best features, and finally believe it when you say, “I love the way I look in the mirror.”
Command the respect you deserve—without sacrificing your true personality or blending in with the old boys’ club.
Confidently wear color, prints, and patterns - or show-stopping neutrals, if that’s your thing. Never second-guess your style again.
Every item of clothing you buy pays you back in opportunities, promotions, open doors, and priceless relationships.
Imagine turning heads: your boss, your partner, your neighbors. You’ll be strutting your stuff, and they’ll all be wondering “What got into her?”
Peaceful mornings spent dressing and accessorizing with ease. Everything matches and everything fits perfectly.

“[This program] has changed the way I feel about getting ready. My closet was bursting, yet I wore the same outfits repeatedly. Melanie taught me how to incorporate color and pattern into a professional wardrobe. The group community was fantastic—celebrating each other’s success made the experience even better!”
“I knew image was important when I launched my own firm, but I didn’t know how to dress in a way that felt put-together and confident. Melanie’s approach was a game-changer: I learned what actually fits my body, my style, and the message I want to project. Now I believe in my body and my brand at any weight!”

Melanie’s homework, accountability, and live guidance forced me to discover my real style. I’m more excited to get dressed, and my daughter notices I’m wearing more color!”
The VIP Experience is great for the busy executive woman who needs a little extra help and a little more flexibility with her schedule.

In our private chat, you can share photos, ask questions, and share ideas whenever you want, without ever having to wait for the next call.

“I thought I ‘had’ to dress masculine to be taken seriously. Turns out, embracing feminine elements actually boosts my confidence. Melanie helped me see it wasn’t me—it was the clothes. Now my closet works for me, and I’m known around the office for dressing well! Plus, the program saved me money by helping me shop intentionally.”
“I felt frumpy and disconnected from who I was inside—like my look didn’t match my growing practice. Melanie pinpointed the shapes, colors, and styles that matched the energy I wanted to reflect. Now shopping is fun, and I’ve replaced old pieces with ones that make me feel powerful and aligned.”
When you’re left by yourself with free resources that aren’t tailored to you, you’re left to figure things out on your own, without the professional expertise you need to get to clarity.
When you don’t know what you’re doing, style can become very time-consuming and expensive. You shop the malls or endlessly scroll online and end up with nothing but a high credit card bill. So you eventually just go back to old faithful and keep wearing the 5 or 6 outfits you know you can get away with.
There’s a big difference between looking good and feeling good. I want you to have both. When you only focus on the visuals, you never figure out what actually makes you FEEL powerful - an essential component of style for professional women.
We all want to look polished, stylish, and powerful but what does that actually mean in your world? In The Style Code, we focus on the message you want to be sending, and that starts with defining the woman you want to be. Then, we choose the clothes to match the woman.
At some point, somebody told you something about style that wasn’t true, and now you live by it. You want to get it right so badly that you find yourself simply avoiding mistakes instead of figuring out what really works for you.
I’ve actually met executive women who need to ask 5 people before they can get dressed in the morning. When you have The Style Code, you won’t be reinventing the wheel anymore. You’ll be using timeless principles and going with what you KNOW works for you.
“We partnered with Melanie to boost confidence in our new team members. She’s so much more than a stylist—she’s a branding expert. Having a shared language around color and archetypes accelerated team cohesion, and even visiting attorneys complimented how stylish and aligned our legal team looked!”
The style gurus want to keep you on your toes, so you always feel like you’re missing something and need to keep buying more.
That’s why I teach you the timeless style principles that always work in a system that’s designed for professional women.
Most of the women who work with me want to get dressed, look fabulous, and be done with it. They’re not looking to chase style trends or buy the latest runway look. They want to know what works for them and WHY - so they can dress well no matter where they’re going.

“In a conservative industry, I used to blend in, and it held me back. Stepping into a higher-visibility role, I applied Melanie’s strategies and instantly felt more confident—colleagues noticed, and new opportunities opened up. It’s not just about clothes. It’s about personal branding, trust, and authority.”
When you’re well dressed, you walk into a room, and everyone instantly senses that you are the real deal.
When you feel put together, you do your best work. You walk taller, communicate more confidently, and give yourself permission to say the things that you know need to be said.
When know that what you’re wearing is sending the message that you have intentionally crafted, you are taken more seriously and your intelligence is unquestioned.
“I was cycling through the same bland outfits and felt like I wasn’t showing up with authority. Melanie taught me to use color, fit, and style to project leadership and approachability. Whether I’m presenting to senior stakeholders or talking to my team, I’m now noticed for the right reasons.”

What brand of feminism tells women they need a certain dress size before they’re worthy of feeling good? (That’s the patriarchy talking.)
Powerful women dress well at every size. People take them seriously because they take themselves seriously.
If you need to lose weight before allowing yourself to invest in professional attire that speaks to your capability and competence, you’re equating the scale with your professional value, and we just can’t have that.
After all, there’s no magical number on the scale that is going to make you feel confident. Confidence comes from knowing how to work what your mama gave you (and THAT, I can show you how to do!)
Plus, I guarantee that when you learn how to wear clothing that makes you feel 10/10 confident you will look and feel ten pounds lighter immediately, and more motivated to lose the weight faster.
Finally, we have style guidance for women of all body types, from size 0 to midsize to plus, petite and tall women, and sizing that ranges from US to Canada to Europe. These will not be a factor in creating a style you love.

“Melanie changed my life! I had zero interest in shopping or fashion—I assumed I was ‘hopeless.’ But she built a whole new wardrobe for me, showed me the right clothing types, colors, and patterns, and challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. Now I look forward to putting outfits together and feel so much more confident.”

This is about respect and self-value, not putting on heirs. In The Style Code, we specialize in style for women in conservative industries, so you can rest assured that your style will be designed to maximize your credibility and align with your work culture, not damage your reputation.
If you want to be thought of for all the best opportunities, you need to dress in a way that is appropriate and authentic, not gaudy, loud, or tacky. We’ll find that just-right sweet spot where you say, “I would have never thought of wearing this to work but it’s getting me the right kind of attention.”
“I love the ‘online closet’ she built for me! Melanie took the time to understand my preferences and nailed it. I keep adding items, and it’s so much simpler to get dressed now. If you’re unsure, you won’t be disappointed—she’s amazing.”

As trailblazing, professional women, we know that we find time for whatever matters most. So here’s a better question, “What opportunities are passing you by because you’re not dressing appropriately for your level of talent and success?”
Listen, I know your calendar is tight. That’s why my structured framework and rotating live call times make it easy to get the personalized guidance you need—no matter how busy you are. And if you need full flexibility, opt for the VIP Style Experience and get your questions answered on your schedule instead of mine.
I get it. Money can’t buy style - but you don’t have unlimited resources! The Style Code was designed to eliminate the gushing money pit that the fashion world creates. I promise we will maximize every single dollar you’ve already spent. In some cases, women don’t even buy anything new during their time in The Style Code. You’ll experience new levels of confidence just by tailoring your wardrobe to fit your body, personality, and professional aspirations.

“After losing a significant amount of weight, I decided to invest in me. I’d never had a sense of style or knew what worked for my body. Melanie made me feel comfortable trying new ideas, and now I get compliments on my outfits all the time—something that never happened before!”
